Kent and Kathleen Pelton have been serving the Church of the Nazarene as missionaries since 1994. Since 2000 they have served in Thailand. Kent currently serves as director of Southeast Asia Nazarene Bible. Kathleen serves an administrative role for the Southeast Asia Field.
The Peltons served in Papua New Guinea for six years, Kent as a teacher at Melanesia Nazarene Bible College and in a district advisory role. He also led in the development and implementation of a viable distance education program and the Th.B. degree program at MNBC. Kathleen served in an administrative role at MNBC.
Kent is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene. He received a B.S. in music and education from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, and an M.Div. from Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri.
Prior to their appointment as missionaries, the Peltons served as church planters in Silverdale, Washington. Kent has also served as minister of music in several churches prior to pastoring.
The Peltons have five children, who are all married, and ten grandchildren.
